Description

These are a pair of mid-19th century buildings on New Street. They are constructed of yellow brick with a slate roof and eaves soffit. The buildings are three storeys high and feature four windows with flat-arched sash windows containing glazing bars, along with two blank panels. The ground floor is stuccoed and features Doric pilasters and a continuous entablature. The entrances have oblong fanlights. A rounded corner is present at the junction with St John’s Street, featuring two slender cast iron columns or shafts in front of a splayed entrance. A plinth runs along the base. Number 10 has a three-panel door. Numbers 10 and 12 are designated as having group value with the Round House on St John’s Street.
