Description

51 New Street is an early 19th-century shop front applied to an earlier timber-framed structure. The building is three storeys high with a single window. It has a slate roof with projecting eaves. The first-floor window has a gauged flat brick arch and contains glazing bars. The shop front is well-designed, featuring a console-bracketed cornice and a shop window with small panes of glass. A recessed doorway leads to a six-panel door. This building possesses group value from contributing to the character of the street.
