Description

This is an early 19th-century building, originally number 97 on the north side of Thoroughfare. It is a two-storey and attic structure with two dormers. The building is constructed of red brick with a rendered plinth, and has slate roofing with an eaves soffit. It features three sash windows with glazing bars and flat arches. A central French window opens onto a balcony with an ornamental wrought iron balustrade supported by brackets. The front door is an eight-panel bolection moulded door with fielded panels, topped by a segmental fanlight with bars radiating from the arch’s crown. Slender, wood-fluted three-quarter composite columns are positioned below the transom.
