Description
Martlesham Hall is a house from the early 19th century, rebuilt around an older timber-framed core that was destroyed by fire. The building is constructed of red brick in a Tudor style, featuring plain tile roofs and stone parapets. It has four hexagonal chimney stacks grouped together and follows a modified 'E' plan. The house is 2½ storeys tall.
On the north elevation, there is a two-storey entrance porch that is asymmetrically placed, complete with a parapeted gable and a plain tiled roof. To the left of the porch, there are two gable dormers of similar design, and to the right, a brick stack with two attached hexagonal chimneys. The porch includes a central first-floor window opening with moulded drip moulds and jambs, with sash windows that have glazing bars. Below the dormers, there are two similar windows. The entrance doorway features a moulded brick three-centred arch and jambs with a drip mould, and above it is a coat of arms. The door is moulded and boarded. Additionally, there is a moulded brick three-sided oriel window on the east wing, which has sash windows with glazing bars.
