Description
Upland Hall, formerly known as The Grove, is an early 19th-century building located on Flixton Road near Constitution Hill. It is a two-storey structure with a stucco exterior and a hipped slate roof. The entrance features an enclosed loggia arcade supported by four Doric columns, with an entablature, balustrade, and a balcony above that spans three arches, flanked by a central pair of glazed doors and matching windows on either side. The main cornice is adorned with scroll modillions. The first floor has three windows leading to the balcony, each with architraves, while the ground floor features three grouped windows with slightly projecting cases. There is a band at the first floor level. The sash windows have central glazing bars, except for the two-storey, four-window ancillary wing on the left, which also has sashes with glazing bars.
