Description

This barn dates to the 17th century and is located immediately to the south of Manor Farmhouse. It is a timber-framed structure clad in weatherboard, with a corrugated iron roof. A red brick lean-to addition with a pantiled roof extends along the north side. The timber frame is arranged in seven bays, with an entrance in the middle bay. The construction features no middle rail, bisected studs, and primary braces. Some timbers have been reused, including weathered main posts suggesting considerable age. One end of the barn appears to have been originally floored. The roof structure comprises seven bays with two rows of unstepped butt purlins and reversed windbraces. Trusses feature long arched braces.
