Description
The Bolt Hole and Wayside Cottage are a pair of early 19th-century houses located on Queen's Road in Southwold. They are constructed of colourwashed brick with a roof of black-glazed pantiles, hipped at the right end, and featuring brick stacks at the left end and to the right of centre.
The exterior presents a two-storey, four-window facade. No.10 has a panelled door set within a glazed porch on the right side of a 6/6 horned sash window. The first floor features one 3/6 horned sash window, both with gauged skewback arches. No.12 has a half-glazed door to the right of three 6/6 unhorned sashes, also with gauged skewback arches. Three similar 3/6 sashes are located on the first floor. Flat hoods have been added to all openings. A dentil eaves cornice runs along the top.
The interior of the cottages has not been inspected.
