Description

Salt Works Cottage is a house dating from the 1760s, with alterations and extensions added in the 20th century. It is constructed of rendered and colourwashed brick, finished to resemble ashlar, with a pantile roof and a brick ridge stack. The two-storey, two-window front features a former central door that has been converted into a fixed window with glazing bars, set within a cut-down timber doorcase. The ground floor has two unhorned sash windows with 8/8 panes, while the first floor has two unhorned sash windows with 3/6 panes. At the rear is a single-storey outshut that has been incorporated into a two-storey 20th-century extension. The interior was not inspected.
