Description
Stone House is a villa built in the early 19th century, which was remodeled and extended in 1948. The building features a construction of whole flints with gault brick dressings and has a slate hipped roof with two brick stacks.
The exterior has a two-storey, four-bay front, with a two-storey, one-bay extension to the left. The outer bays of the original front are full-height segmental bows. The ground floor openings on the original front consist of French windows with glazing bars, while the central openings have been replaced. On the first floor, there are two similar windows that open onto a wrought-iron balcony supported by open trellis piers. To the right and left of the balcony are 6/6 unhorned sash windows. The extension bay has casement windows on each floor.
Inside, there is a replacement staircase featuring twisted and turned balusters.
