Description

Wade Hall is a mid-17th century farmhouse, with a later rear service range. The building is timber-framed and has a pebbledash-rendered exterior, covered by a pantiled roof. It is two storeys and has an attic, originally consisting of two rooms. The ground floor has casement windows, while the first floor features large-paned sash windows, with a small casement window above the doorway. A lobby entrance is present, with a 19th-century four-panel door and a broad architrave. A central axial stack is also pebbledash-rendered. One room on each floor retains exposed studding and floor structure, along with evidence of original windows. Original newel stairs are present. The roof displays two rows of unstepped butt purlins. Immediately to the north of the farmhouse is the site of the former Wathe Hall manor house, with a portion of its encircling moat still visible.
