Description
Olde Banke House is a late 18th-century house, altered and raised in the late 19th century, and now used as a shop and flat. The house is constructed of red brick with a roof of black-glazed pantiles and a brick stack at the left end. The front facade has three storeys and two window bays. The ground floor contains a late 19th-century plate glass shop front, with a central plate glass door providing access. A half-glazed door to the right leads to upper floor accommodation. The first floor features two 2/2 sash windows, each set within a gauged skewback arch and late 19th-century hoodmoulds with label stops. The second floor also has two 4/4 sash windows, similarly treated with gauged skewback arches and hoodmoulds on label stops. A shaped gable parapet sits above the second floor. The interior was not inspected.
