Description

This is a row of early 18th-century buildings on Bridge Street. It comprises numbers 12 to 16, and is two storeys high with an attic containing a single dormer window. The front features four flush frame sash windows on the first floor, with original glazing bars remaining at number 14. Number 12 has been altered, with only the centre panes of the two sash windows on each floor retaining glazing bars, and two blank panels on the first floor. A plinth runs along the base. Number 12 has a wooden doorcase with pilasters. Number 14 has an arched entrance with a four-panel door. Number 16 has a wooden shop front on the left, incorporating pilasters. Numbers 2, 4, 6A, 12 to 20(even), 24 to 34(even), 40 to 44(even), 48 and 50 form a group.
