Description

Bridge Cottage is a house, likely dating from the 16th or 17th century, with later 19th and 20th century additions and alterations. The house has a timber frame now covered with colourwashed render, and a plain tile roof. It is two storeys high. The front of the house features a 20th century plank door, positioned to the left of centre, along with a mix of 20th century windows: one three-light window, two two-light windows, and one single-light window on the ground floor. The first floor has three two-light casement windows, also dating from the 19th century. A ridge stack is located to the right of centre of the roof. The right-hand gable has a 19th century outshut at ground floor level with a lean-to roof, and a three-light window above it on the first floor. The left-hand gable features another outshut, a single-flue chimney to the right, and a two-light first-floor window. On the rear elevation, there are outshuts on both the right and left, alongside a three-light ground floor casement window in the centre and a two-light window to the first floor. The interior was not inspected.
