Description

Gull Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse, located on the north side of Hasketon Low Road. It is timber-framed with rendered brick infill, designed to resemble ashlar, and has a plain tile roof. The farmhouse originally had a three-cell baffle-entry plan and has been extended with added wings. It is two storeys and has an attic.

The front of the farmhouse features a projecting, single-storey gabled porch on the left side, containing a 19th-century plank door. To the left of the porch is a three-light casement window with a Tudor hood-mould, and to the right a similar window. Above these are three similar windows on the first floor. A square, 19th-century chimney stack with four octagonal flues rises from the ridge to the left of the porch. An axial stack with two flues is located on the right-hand gable end. An additional single-storey wing is located to the right, with a cross-window on the ground floor, also with a Tudor hood-mould. A single light window with a Tudor hood-mould is set at first-floor level of the gable. The left-hand gable end contains a three-light window on the ground floor and a two-light casement window in the attic. The rear of the farmhouse has a projecting gabled wing on the left with a three-light casement window to both the ground and first floors. To the right of this is a lower, projecting wing with a three-light ground floor window and a two-light first floor window. The main body of the farmhouse is recessed and contains a three-light ground floor casement window.

Inside the farmhouse, there are chamfered ceiling beams and chamfered wall posts with run-out stops.
