Description
The Turk's Head Public House is a public house that was originally a farmhouse, dating back to the 17th century, with a 19th-century brick exterior. It has a plain tile roof that was replaced in the 20th century. The entrance front features a half-glazed door at the far left and another door to the right of center. There are three cambered-headed windows at ground floor level, each with three panes arranged in a 3 x 2 configuration, and a slightly projecting plinth made of Flemish bond brick. In the attic, there is a 5-light casement dormer window to the right of center, flanked by two 3-light dormers with shallow-pitched roofs. A 19th-century stack with three flues is located at the left of center ridge, with another stack at the right gable end. The rear of the building has numerous 20th-century additions.
Inside, the layout consists of a two-cell plan with chamfered ceiling beams featuring lamb's tongue end stops, joists, and some close studding on the rear wall.
