Description

The remains of an Augustinian Priory, founded around 1125 as a cell of St. Osyth Priory, are located 60 meters north of The Priory on Priory Road in Blythburgh. The ruins are primarily constructed of flint rubble. To the south, there is the base of a 12th-century column along with some 13th-century shafting. These remnants are part of the conventual church, which was likely designed as a cruciform building. The site is also designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument.
