Description
Lavender Cottage is a building that was originally three cottages but has been converted into one house. It dates from the early 18th century, with the right-hand end possibly being older. The structure is timber framed and plastered, topped with a pantiled roof. It is a single storey with an attic and features a five-window range, primarily consisting of mid-20th century casements. There are two windows where former doorways used to be, and the doorway is asymmetrical with a mid-20th century boarded door. The cottage has three dormers under catslide roofs and includes one internal stack and one gable end stack. A mid-20th century extension has been added to the rear. Inside, the cottage showcases exposed timbering, which is of better quality at the right-hand end.
