Description

12 and 13 Main Road are a pair of houses dating from the early 19th century, although they likely have an earlier core. They are constructed of red brick with a plain tiled roof at the front and a pantiled roof at the rear. The houses are two storeys high with an attic and feature a two-window range with three-light small pane casements. Above the central doorway, which has a four-panel door and a rectangular fanlight, there is a blank panel. The doorway is flanked by a projecting gabled brick porch, which is a later addition and includes bargeboards and a spike finial. At the rear, there is an earlier outbuilding that is part timber framed and rendered, part brick, with a pantiled roof, casement windows, and a boarded half door.
