Description
Foxhill is a former farmhouse with a core dating from the 15th or early 16th century. It was raised and enlarged in the early 17th century and underwent renovation around 1980, which included extensions to the north. The building is timber framed and plastered, topped with a pantiled roof. It has two storeys and an attic, featuring a three-cell plan. The windows are mostly casement style from the 19th century, although there are some original good-quality mullion windows on the first floor. The original entry was likely a cross passage, but the doorway has been moved to the modern extension. Inside, there is notable exposed timbering, particularly on the first floor, and the medieval frame shows small traces of smoke-blackening.
