Description

The walls of the kitchen garden at Heveningham Hall are located about 40 meters west of the Orangery. They are made of red brick and enclose an area of 1.166 hectares. It is believed that the bricks used for these walls were sourced from the house that was demolished in 1703. The garden is divided east-west by an early 19th-century serpentine wall, approximately 90 meters long, also constructed of red brick and featuring moulded brick copings. The walls include arched openings with fluted keystones and stone ashlar springings supporting the arches.
