Description
Dunwich Museum, formerly the parish reading room, is a building from the mid to late 19th century. It is constructed of red brick with a roof featuring plain tiles at the front and black pantiles at the rear, along with crest tiles along the ridge. The building has two storeys and a three-window range, with two-light and three-light casements that have heavy mullions and transoms, as well as metal glazing bars arranged in a geometric pattern. The windows are topped with flat brick arches. There is an asymmetrical entrance porch with a recessed doorway that has a three-centre arch and a four-panel door. The building also features two gablets at the eaves level and ornamental bargeboarding on all gables. It is included for its group value.
