Description

Paul's Grove Farmhouse is a 17th-century or possibly earlier farmhouse, with an L-shaped layout. It is timber-framed and has been plastered, now with a roof of modern concrete plain tiles. The house is two storeys high with an attic. The south wing has a two-window front, featuring large three-light casement windows. A 19th-century gabled brick porch shelters a four-panel door with a rectangular fanlight above. There is a flat-roofed dormer window on the gable end, and a chimney stack. The north wing has a single diamond-leaded casement window in the north gable, and two internal chimney stacks. Inside, a good eight-panel fielded door, originally an exterior door, remains. A section of a moulded beam with embattled ornament is exposed within the ceiling of the ground floor.
