Description
These are a range of four late 18th-century buildings, numbered 51 to 54, forming part of a terrace on Quay Street. The buildings are constructed of red brick with a pantile roof. They have two storeys and originally had four sash windows each, although the windows in number 52 are now casements. The windows are set within flush frames and feature flat arches; much of the original glazing bar pattern has been altered. The doorcases are made of wood, with slender, reeded pilasters and friezes decorated with roundels. A continuous cornice runs over numbers 52 and 53, linking them visually. The doors now include glazed upper panels. Numbers 47 to 57 and numbers 1 and 2 form a related group.
