Description
Lower Hall Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 16th to 17th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and plastered exterior, featuring pebbledash render on the left-hand gable end, and has a pantiled roof. The building is two storeys high with an attic and consists of a three-cell main range, along with a lower cross wing on the right side. The windows are mainly 20th century casements, and there is a lobby entrance with a half-glazed door. The farmhouse includes two gabled dormers and a heavy internal stack, which has an inset rectangular panel at both the front and rear; the upper part of this stack has been rebuilt. There is also a smaller internal stack on the right side. At the time of the survey in September 1984, a fire had caused considerable damage to the cross wing.
