Description
Farnham Manor is a house dated 1602, as indicated by the plasterwork between two original first floor windows on the main front. It features a timber frame with plastering and a brick gable end to the south, topped by a plain tile roof. The building has two storeys and an attic. Most windows are 20th century two-light and three-light mullioned casements with square leaded panes, while the main front retains three original ovolo-moulded mullion windows.
The doorway is asymmetrical and likely relocated from another site, set within a 20th century reproduction half-timbered and plain-tiled porch that includes a window on the right side. The entrance features paired panelled and boarded doors beneath a four-centre arch with carved spandrels. Inside, there is one internal stack with a moulded base and a blank panel, alongside a massive external stack at the north-east corner, with the original flues removed, and a gable end stack to the south.
To the east and north, there are 20th century rendered brick extensions. The interior includes imported 17th century panelling and an 18th century oak staircase. A large brick wing was added to the east of the house in the 1920s, but it is not of special architectural interest.
