Description

This is a former farmhouse, now a cottage, with a core dating to the mid- or late 17th century, and a facade and additions from the 18th and 19th centuries. The original timber frame is now covered by colourwashed brick, and the roof is thatched. The cottage is one and a half storeys high and has a three-cell layout, with four windows featuring mullion and transom casements with diamond-leaded panes and segmental arches. There is a lobby entrance with a plank door, and a gabled dormer window. The eaves have a brick dentil cornice. An internal stack is present. A later wing extends to the rear (south). Inside, two ground floor rooms have exposed floorbeams and 17th century chamfered joists.
