Description
Nos 1 to 3 on Bridge Street are a pair of late 18th-century, two-storey buildings made of painted brick and covered with slate roofs. They feature wide eaves and a bedmould. The first floor has seven sash windows, which include glazing bars, flush frames, and flat arches. The shop front of No 2 has been altered in the early 19th century and includes a patterned fanlight, pilasters, and an entablature with consoles. No 3 has a disused 19th-century shopfront and a six-panel door with panelled linings, pilasters, a frieze, and a bracket cornice. The end gable of No 3 has the letters "JG" in iron, indicating wall ties. Nos 1 to 3 are part of a group with No 5 and Nos 16 and 19.
