Description
Woodlands Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid 16th century, with a later addition in the form of a cross wing and 20th-century rear additions. The building is timber framed and has a roughcast render finish, topped with a roof made of concrete pantiles. It stands two storeys tall, with an attic in the cross wing. The main range features a short cross wing on the right side. There are four windows with large pane casements from the mid 20th century. The doorway has a mid 20th-century panelled door and a broad architrave.
To the left side, there is an early 18th-century red brick Dutch gable end, which includes three brick bands and paired windows on both the ground and first floors. At the attic level, there are a pair of blocked oval openings, and above the upper brick band, there is a lozenge pattern made with dark headers. The farmhouse has an integral stack. The interior has been modernised, with most of the frame concealed, but it retains one roll-moulded beam on the ground floor.
