Description
Town Farmhouse, formerly known as Pesthouse Farm, dates back to the 16th century. The building features red brick at the front, which is of a later date, along with some recent restoration work. Original brickwork is still visible on one gable end wall. At the rear, the original construction is evident with timber-framed and plastered panels. The farmhouse is two storeys high, has a plain tile roof, a brick plinth, and remnants of a brick band on the end wall. It has flush frame windows, with one sash and one casement on each floor on the north side. The building was once used as a small-pox isolation hospital, which is the reason for its former name.
