Description
Riverside House is a large 18th-century building located on Broad Street in Boxford. The exterior features a stucco front with rusticated quoins and a modillion eaves cornice. The roof is tiled, with a mansard design that is half-hipped at both the east and west ends. It includes four flat-headed dormers with moulded cornices and two prominent ridge chimney stacks. The building has two storeys and attics, with a six-window range of double-hung sashes that have glazing bars. The ground floor windows are adorned with stuccoed keyed heads. There are two doorways, each featuring six octagonal panelled double doors framed by a Gibbs surround. Access to the house is via a small footbridge that crosses the River Box, which flows in front of the property.
