Description

The Fleece Hotel is a Grade II* listed building located on Broad Street in Boxford. It features an 18th-century stucco front that conceals an earlier timber-framed structure, likely dating back to the 16th century. The building has two storeys and a five-window range of double-hung sashes with glazing bars. At the east end, there is a carriage entrance, while the west end boasts an entranceway with an Ionic doorcase, which includes plain columns, a decorated frieze, and a modillion pediment. The roof is tiled and has a coved plaster eaves cornice. Inside, there is a notable moulded ceiling beam.
