Description

The Nayland War Memorial, built around 1920, is a war memorial made of rough- and smooth-tooled granite. It features a tall Celtic style cross with a smooth-tooled sword in relief on the front. The cross stands on a pedestal that includes an inscription panel listing the names of those who fell in the Great War. This pedestal is elevated on two steps, and at the front, there is another panel with names from the Second World War. The entire memorial is surrounded by a granite kerb. It is part of a significant group of buildings in Nayland.
