Description

The Post Office is a timber-framed and plastered house that was refronted in the 18th century with red brick. It features a parapet and a raised brick band. A small section of the original front remains at the north end, which includes one window range. The building has two storeys and a three-to-one window range, with double-hung sashes that have glazing bars, all set in flush cased frames. The ground storey contains two small shop fronts; the one at the north end is from the late 18th century and includes glazing bars in the window and a cornice. A raised brick band runs between the storeys. A former central doorway, which had a semi-circular fanlight, has been converted into a small display window. The roof is tiled.
