Description

Hill House is a 16th to 17th century timber-framed and plastered house located on Gravel Hill in Nayland with Wissington. The building features cross wings at both the north and south ends and has undergone alterations in the 18th century and renovations in the 20th century. It stands two storeys tall, with the cross wings jettied on the upper storey. The west front has a window arrangement of 1:2:1, featuring double-hung sashes with glazing bars. The ground storey windows in the cross wings are shallow canted bays. The roof is tiled and has shaped bargeboards on the cross wings. Additionally, there are 20th century additions at the rear.
