Description
Crosskeys is a 16th to 17th century timber-framed building that was completely refronted in the late 19th or early 20th century. It has two storeys, with the ground storey faced in red brick and the first storey jettied on the north-west and south fronts, featuring tile hanging. The west front has a range of four windows, primarily double-hung sashes with glazing bars in the upper sashes. The ground storey includes one small oriel shop window with glazing bars and one canted bay with casements. The roof is hipped and tiled. At the rear, there are two timber-framed and plastered wings. Inside, the building has moulded beams. It is noted for its internal frame and its group value with other nearby structures.
