61 Water Street is a timber-framed and plastered building dating from the 18th to 19th century, featuring a pantiled roof. It stands two storeys high and has a two-window range of double-hung sash windows with margin glazing bars, which were added in the mid-19th century. The entrance includes a three-panel door topped by a narrow rectangular fanlight.
