Description

The Dower House is an early 19th-century brick house located on the west side of High Street in Long Melford. The front features grey gault brick, while the north and south sides are adorned with flint pebble panels. The building is two storeys tall and has cellars, with a three-window range of double-hung sash windows that include glazing bars set in shallow reveals. The central doorway is topped by a semi-circular fanlight, and there is a raised stucco band that runs across the front between the storeys. The roof is hipped and covered with slate, featuring two rectangular chimney stacks.
