Description

This is a row of ten early 19th century houses on the north-west side of Friars Street. The houses are built of Suffolk brick, three storeys high with cellars, and have slate roofs. Each house has ten windows, featuring sash windows with glazing bars within painted reveals. The ground floor has arched detailing, characteristic of many early 19th century Sudbury houses. The doorways are raised several steps and have arched fanlights; those at numbers 42, 44, and 50 have fanlights with radial bars. The doorways also have six-panel doors. Numbers 24 to 28 and numbers 32 to 68 also form a group.
