Description

The former outbuildings of Costen's Hall, dating from the early 19th century, are constructed of red brick. They include an octagonal building at the west end, believed to have been a horse mill, and a series of outbuildings extending eastward in a half octagonal shape. Originally, these outbuildings surrounded an octagonal courtyard, although the northern range has mostly been demolished. The octagonal building features a doorway on the north side with a small bulls eye window above it. The other sides have barred openings and sunk panels in the upper part of the walls. The roofs are covered with slate, and the octagonal building is topped with a weather vane dated 1844.
