Description
Swallow's Farmhouse is a 16th to 17th century timber-framed and plastered building that has been refaced at the front with 19th century gault brick and altered. It features a cross wing at the south end and an addition at the north end with a gable on the front. The roof is tiled and the building is part two storeys and part one storey with attics. There is a four-window range of double-hung sashes with single vertical glazing bars. A gabled porch with a tiled roof projects from the front. The farmhouse formerly displayed a panel with the initials J G M and the date 1695. It has two ridge chimney stacks, one with sawtooth shafting and the other with three square shafts set diagonally, which has been rebuilt. Additionally, there are two gabled dormers.
