Description

Rose Farmhouse is a timber-framed and plastered building dating from the 15th to 16th century, which has been significantly altered and expanded in the late 18th century when a two-storey south block was added, featuring a gault brick front. The north wing is one storey with attics, showcasing exposed timber-framing on the upper part. The roof is tiled and includes part of an old chimney stack and one gabled dormer in the north block. The south front features a three-window range of double-hung sashes with glazing bars, along with a central doorway that has an open pedimented head supported by shaped brackets. Inside, the farmhouse retains exposed timber-framing, including a wall plate with a bladed scarf joint and face pegs.
