Description
The garden wall, located approximately 20 metres north-west of Little Wenham Castle, dates back to the 16th century and has undergone later repairs, capping, and the addition of buttresses. It is constructed of red brick in English bond and features angled round-headed capping. The wall is L-shaped, extending from the south-west to the north-east, and stands about 4 metres tall. It includes a plinth and has square and semi-circular buttresses on its outer face. For further discussion and a plan of the wall and the adjacent farmyard to the north, refer to E Sandon's "Suffolk House," published in 1977, on pages 39 and 40.
