Description
Nos 13 to 15 on Church Street are part of a historic range known as the Weaving Houses, where a master clothier once lived and worked with looms. This building dates from the 15th to 16th century and features timber framing with plaster infill that is exposed. It has been restored and has a tiled roof with two ridge chimney stacks, one of which has three octagonal shafts on a rectangular base. The building is two storeys high, with the upper storey jettied across the front, supported by exposed joists and curved brackets that have moulded capitals and shafts. There is a three-window range of restored leaded casements. The interior retains many original features. No 15 is a later addition at the rear.
