Description

The Crown Inn is a 16th century timber-framed and plastered building designed in an L-shaped plan, with wings extending to the north and east. The north wing has two storeys and features jettied upper storeys on the east and north sides, supported by shaped corner brackets. The windows in this section are mainly old leaded casements. The east wing is a single storey with attics, and its windows are modern casements. The roofs are tiled, and there is one gabled dormer on the east wing. Inside, the building includes a chimney beam adorned with carved leaf ornamentation.
