Description

This is a house with origins possibly dating back to the 16th century, significantly altered and extended in the early 19th century. The right-hand crosswing retains timber framing, while the rest of the building is plastered or painted brick. It has grey slate roofs, with a hipped roof over the left range and a gabled roof over the right crosswing. Chimneys are located on the left range's ridge and externally on the right crosswing. The house is two storeys high. The first floor has two small-paned vertically sliding sash windows on the left, and one on the right. A French window with a curved transom and small-paned lights sits above the left bay, under a hipped grey slate roof. The central bay has central small-paned French doors with segmental arches over the side lights. The front door is six-panelled, with curved pilasters, a moulded surround featuring a patera design, and a flat canopy.
