Description

The Croft is a timber-framed and plastered building dating from the 15th to 16th century, located on the north side of The Street in Monks Eleigh. It features cross wings at both the east and west ends, with a roof that is tiled and a central block that is higher than the wings. The front of the building is faced in 19th-century red brick and it stands two storeys tall. There is a four-window range on the ground storey, consisting of double-hung sashes with vertical glazing bars, and above are casements that resemble sashes, featuring opening centre panes.
