Description

Pompes is a medieval timber-framed and plastered house with alterations dating to the 19th century. It is one storey high with attics. The windows are casement types. A small shop is located on the north end and it features an early 19th-century painted sign relating to a shop previously owned by Millicent Tye. The doors are boarded. The interior reveals exposed timber framing, ceiling beams, and joists. A wall within the house bears the date 1608. The roof is thatched.
