Description

Fosters Farmhouse is a timber-framed and plastered house dating from the 16th to 17th centuries, renovated in the 20th century. At the east end, the timber framing has been exposed, revealing two original windows with diamond mullions. The house is two storeys high, with a three-window front featuring 20th-century casement windows in original window openings. A 20th-century gabled porch is centrally placed on the front elevation. The roof is tiled, with a gambrel roof at the north-west end and a large central chimney stack with four grouped octagonal shafts. Group value derives from the building's contribution to the historic streetscape.
