Description
The Church of All Saints is a flint church with stone dressings that has Norman origins but is primarily from the 14th century. It has been altered in the 20th century, and the nave is no longer used as a church; it is currently being renovated for alternative use. The church now occupies the former chancel. The west tower features diagonal buttresses and a brick castellated parapet. The south porch, which dates from the 15th century and was restored in 1975, includes a cambered beam and a crown post. The former chancel contains a 15th-century altar tomb on the north side, which has an ogee arched recess and a figure of a lady. On the south side, there is 14th to 15th-century blind arcading. A 15th-century octagonal font is also present. The north door of the former nave is blocked to form a window but retains the Norman doorway, which features zig-zag ornamentation in the arch, two shafts, and scalloped capitals. Additionally, there is a 15th-century altar tomb on the south side with a recess and a figure of a lady. The church is graded for its historical value.
