Description

Butlers is a 17th-century timber-framed and plastered house, originally known as Botelers, built on an L-shaped plan that may include elements from a medieval structure. The south front was updated in the 18th century. The west front features exposed timber-framing, and old window openings have been restored. The house has two storeys and a three-window range on the south front, with double-hung sashes that include glazing bars. The central entrance has a six-panel door flanked by panelled pilasters and topped with a flat hood supported by brackets. The west front showcases mullioned and transomed casements, along with small high-level casements that have also been restored. The roof is tiled and hipped at the south end, featuring a large central chimney stack.
